John Cena out of action due to injury!

Mr. McMahon made an announcement on Tuesday night during ECW that John Cena was going to have to undergo immediate surgery on his pectoral tendon and that he would be out of action between six months and a year. This came as a blow to the Raw roster as there are only a matter of days until the pay per view event No Mercy.

John Cena was supposed to be matched up against Randy Orton that evening for the WWE Championship. Unfortunately due to the severity of his injuring the WWE medical team and staff are not allowing Cena to compete in this event no matter how much Cena feels that he can do it.

The match at No Mercy has been changed to an Open Title Match, which will determine the new WWE Champion. I'm not sure who will compete in that match but I hope that a fitting champion is crowned.

Apparently it was difficult to diagnose the injury at first because John Cena is so muscular that the tendon tear wasn't discovered right away but was finally found. Doctors are sure that Cena will do what it takes to come back stronger and faster than they expect because this business is his life and it's in his blood. My prayers are with John Cena and the Cena family right now that he has a speedy recovery and I look forward to him making his fantastic comeback. Best wishes John!

The Champ is STILL here!

I figured that since I had gotten my introduction blog out of the way already that I would actually write one that had a bit more context to it now.

Monday night Raw is the show that I predominately watch since it's on at a good time and I love the roster that they have going on the show right now. Everyone has their favorite wrestlers, I have mine divided up by categories. I'll post those at another time. I have to admit thought that recently I've heard mixed emotions about the champ John Cena. That man has been the champ for over a year now? He fights with everything he's got and still they keep coming at him. It's amazing to see the heart and determination that he has for his championship and his reign has been supreme.

Here's the question though, is it time for a new champ? Sure the person that ultimately gets the opportunity at the title will have to earn that right I understand, but are people tired of seeing Cena in the limelight week after week after week. I mean how many more superstars can he mow down before he's out of competition? Well here are my thoughts on the matter:

When John Cena first came onto the WWE scene I can't say that I liked him very much. He was a rapper, a master of thuganomics, bling flashing all over the place at times, it was wild. I wasn't immediately impressed. Over time I watched him wrestle and began to understand that this man had a passion for what he did and he was damned good at it. Soon the appearance changed and became more streamlined for champ material. He won his way into our hearts (have you seen that smile of his)?

Who is going to be good enough to get that title shot and take the title from the revered chain gang leader? Everyone has their hopes, but I say it'll be Triple H. (My favorite wrestler by far). It's not just a biased opinion either, I mean think about it. Triple H has fought his way to the top on multiple occasions and overcome so very difficult obstacles to get where he is today. He's respected among superstars and fans alike and has the ability to do whatever he puts his mind to. I think it's only a matter of time before Hunter starts feeling that itch. Gold will be calling his name soon and the champion blood in his veins will boil with the need for another chance to reign. The king of kings will have to face down Cena eventually, but the question is who will come out with gold? We will all have to wait and see when that time comes.

Either way I am proud to say that I am a John Cena fan because that man has never let down his fans for anything. He's an excellent actor (The Marine was an awesome movie!) and he goes on night after night defending not only his title but his good name amongst superstars. Thank you John Cena for everything you do, we the fan nation love you!
