The road to the Rumble is not always paved with gold!
The Heartbreak kid is the first superstar to make his entrance tonight on the new and improved Raw in HD! He will face Mr. Kennedy. The fans are on their feet for HBK tonight (as always of course!). Kennedy is looking pretty good tonight as he quickly counters all of Shawn's moves. Nice reversals and turnovers ensue. Kennedy pulls off a great bridge to get out of a three count. Very impressive. Mr. Kennedy has definitely brought his aggressive game and brutality to the squared circle tonight, but Shawn doesn't take it for long, he powers back and gets a nice swinging neck breaker on Kennedy. Both men are down but Shawn is on his feet first. Fists and chops begin and Shawn gets a nice inverted atomic drop. Shawn goes up top and lands a huge elbow into Mr. Kennedy! Fans are going nuts cause they know what's coming next. The band is tuning up and Mr. Kennedy just narrowly escapes sweet chin music. Shawn leaps out of the ring and lands right on top of Mr. Kennedy on the outside. Mr. Kennedy tosses Shawn face first into the ring post and gets the upper hand yet again in this match up. A boot to the face driving the head of Michaels into the ring post adds insult to injury. Shawn slowly starts to get to his feet, but does he have what it takes to take control back in this match? A huge clothesline from HBK gets both men on the mat having to fight to get back to their feet. Kennedy makes it up first this time. Kennedy gets HBK trapped on the top rope and tries to power him off onto the mat, however Kennedy is the one on his back in this situation. When HBK takes the leap, Kennedy pulls his knees up and Shawn takes them right to the face. Kennedy goes for a cover, but Michaels gets his shoulders up just in time. Again Kennedy misses the sweet chin music however, HBK thinks quick and gets one right into Mr. Kennedy's face. Third time's a charm Shawn! HBK wins this match!
Randy Orton is backstage talking to Mr. McMahon about the "handshake" that will take place between Orton and Jeff Hardy later tonight. Orton is barely able to move and he's not very happy about having to meet up with the rainbow haired warrior tonight. "There is no way I'm shaking his hand" Orton claims. Vince says to deal with it and carry some hand sanitizer if it bothers him that bad. Vince says it might make Orton look "good" to show that he's the better man. This man sure has a way with pep talks. Orton still looks apprehensive, but he'll do it because Vince makes it sound so good!
Beth Phoenix the women's champ makes her way to the ring. She will be facing Mickie James tonight. It's a non title match up, but Mickie wants to prove that she can at least beat the Glamazon since she's in her home state! Beth Is powering right over Mickie for just a moment, then Mickie powers back and shows that she has some power of her own. Mickie gets knocked to the outside then gets her back pushed right into the ring. Beth brings her back into the ring but Mickie powers out of the hold that the Glamazon puts her into. Mickie is really showing some fantastic heart and ability tonight! A huge fisherman suplex from Beth keeps Mickie down for the count and the Glamazon wins this match with barely any effort.
Todd Grisham is backstage with Triple H talking about the qualifying match that he will be in tonight. Triple H has no idea who his opponent will be tonight, not like it matters Triple H will have no issue making it count when he needs to. He will go to the Royal Rumble, there is no doubt about that! It's not just a promise it's a guaran-damn-tee! The Game sure knows how to put things into perspective!
Hardcore Holly is backstage talking with Brian Kendrick and Cody Rhodes. They are talking about Holly's match tonight against Carlito and he's asking if Cody has his back. Cody and Brian make comment about "at least you don't have to dress up like Carlito tonight". Holly gets disgruntled and says that if anyone gets in his space, including Cody, he will throw them out.
Hornswaggle and Finlay make their way to the ring they will take on the Highlanders Rory and Robbie! Irishman vs. Scotsman who will be victorious tonight? Finlay and Rory start off this match up. Rory grabs Hornswaggle and gets himself bit. Hornswaggle then gives Robbie some tiny little boots to the face to make sure he doesn't get involved in the match up. Hornswaggle goes up top and Finlay helps him land a huge leap right onto the body of Rory. Irishmen win this one quick and clean! The luck of the Irish prevails again!
Chris Jericho makes his way to the ring to comment on the brutal attack the he suffered two weeks ago at the hands of JBL. Last week Jericho was at home recovering from the attack, having suffered a bruised larynx. His voice is a little gravelly but he does comment. A coward is a man "who threatens another man's children!" His sons saw that episode of Raw last week, now there is some doubt about their Daddy's ability in their little minds. This just means that Jericho will fight harder to make sure that JBL pays for what was done. "You made a mistake not finishing the job! I am still here!" Jericho has prevailed in this one because he has overcome this obstacle and he's the one standing in the ring tonight. Sunday at the Royal Rumble will not be about having a good show it'll be about the fight! The look of determination is in Jericho's eyes and he's not going to let JBL get away with this!
Mr. McMahon is backstage talking to Jeff Hardy about taking too many risks. He is telling him about shaking hands with Orton tonight. "I'll be out there and I'll make sure I give everyone something to talk about!" Hardy looks scary mad and I'm sure that a handshake isn't all he has in store for Orton tonight.
Brian Kendrick makes his way to the ring for his royal rumble qualifying match tonight. William Regal pops onto the Titan Tron and says that Brian will be fighting Umaga tonight because he was too busy getting Triple H's match ready tonight to find Kendrick an opponent. Umaga starts off strong and dominates Kendrick at first. Will Kendrick's speed help him win this match tonight? Umaga puts Kendrick into the ring post upside down and back first, but Kendrick moves just in time to make sure that Umaga doesn't get that running start at him. Kendrick is trying so hard to fight against Umaga, but Umaga lands the Samoan drop on Kendrick and lays him out cold. A mid air Samoan spike wins this match for the Samoan Bulldozer. Kendrick will not be going to the Rumble this year. (Poor guy!)
Mickie James is backstage and is crying and so upset that she lost to Beth tonight. Maria is there to try to console her. Ashley comes up too. Of course Santino Marella interrupts them. He overhears Ashley make a comment about the Playboy mansion. He thinks that Ashley is offering Maria a free subscription for him of Playboy magazine and makes some comment about "why buy the cow when you have someone who lets you milk them for free?" I about died when he said this. Man why does Maria put up with his stupidity? She could do so much better!
Carlito makes his way to the ring for his match against Hardcore Holly tonight. Santino Marella and Maria accompany Carlito to the ring. Hardcore Holly comes out accompanied by Cody Rhodes. This match gets started and Holly appears to have the upper hand right off the bat. Carlito fights back. He's getting some nice near falls in on Holly tonight. Holly starts to power back and gets a near fall of his own on Carlito. These two keep powering back and forth with each other one getting the upper hand then the other powering back. It's a pretty even split of a match tonight. Holly goes for the Alabama slam but Santino gets on the apron like he's going to do something about it. This distraction allowed Santino to get the back stabber on Holly and wins Carlito the match. I'm sure Holly isn't happy about his loss especially when Cody was supposed to have his back.
Triple H makes his way to the ring for his match tonight. Keep in mind this man won the Royal Rumble in 2002 beating Kurt Angle for the win. William Regal comes out and says that Triple H will face three opponents tonight in an over the top rope gauntlet match. What a bastard. Triple H's first opponent will be Snitsky. These two men start this match off brutally. Triple H gets Snitsky to the rope but can't manage to get him over. Snitsky is dominating Triple H and almost gets him over the rope, but Triple H makes it back in the ring. Regal is at the top of the ramp watching. Snitsky goes over the top rope. Regal looks livid. Smackdown's Mark Henry is the Game's next opponent. Can the cerebral assassin beat the world's strongest man? Henry is manhandling Triple H like he weighed nothing. Twice the game escapes from being put over the top rope. Triple H tries to pick up Mark Henry, but Henry falls on him (ouch!). Triple H looks devastated. Triple H gets to his feet and pulls that top rope down as Henry runs at him. Over the rope Mark Henry goes. Regal runs to the ring and is the third opponent against Triple H tonight. Regal has Triple H on his shoulders and tries to put him over the top, but to no avail. Triple H powers back and tosses Regal over the top rope to secure his spot in the Royal Rumble. Never underestimate the power of the King of Kings!
Mr. McMahon makes his way to the ring to oversee the handshake between Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton. Orton comes out first. Jeff Hardy is called out next and the fans are on their feet again. It's obvious who the fan favorite is. These two eyeball each other like they are seeing the other's death. Vince mediates about the viciousness between Orton and Hardy as of late. Who will be victorious on Sunday at the Rumble. Will Orton remain champ or will Hardy become the third man to hold both the Intercontinental belt and championship belt at the same time. Vince gives the guys a chance to make last minute comments to each other. Orton takes the mic. Orton says his is relieved that Hardy is his opponent at the Rumble because Hardy has never come close to being the WWE champion. However Orton says he underestimated Hardy's ability especially after last week. Orton says that he has a respect for Hardy now, that he didn't have a few weeks ago. Hardy takes the mic and says he doesn't care about earning Orton's respect. "I didn't hit a 30 foot swanton to impress you, I did it to hurt you. I did it for my brother Matt, I did it because I will do anything to be the WWE champion!" Jeff leaves the ring and shakes the hands of Lillian Garcia, JR, King and various audience members. All before he shakes the hand of Randy Orton. "I respect these people more than I respect you". Orton offers his hand but it gets him a twist of fate! Hardy will not play by anyone's rules, because he makes his own! It's on come Sunday and yes I will be watching from the edge of my seat!

Update on Candace Michelle
It's been weeks since we've seen this beautiful diva in the ring due to her collarbone injury at the hands of the Glamazon Beth Phoenix. However Candace Michelle has not been laying around the house snoozing this whole time. She's been a busy woman and I have her latest blog that puts her time out of the ring into a better perspective for her fans. I can't wait to see her back in action and I'm glad to hear that she is doing better and taking it one day at a time. Click here to read Candace's blog.

Who is more insane Mr. McMahon or Britney Spears?
I saw this article on WWE.com and I just had to share with my readers. This article had me cracking up because it's true. Drama goes hand in hand with the lifestyles of the rich and famous for some odd reason. Those that say money can't but happiness have obviously never been poor in my opinion, but from the actions of some celebrities lately I'm beginning to wonder if money causes insanity! Read the link and have fun!

Balloons, fireworks, midgets and sweet revenge!
Jeff Hardy kicks off Monday night Raw in a huge way! He is the number one contender for the WWE championship. After what Randy Orton did to Jeff's older brother Matt Hardy, I'm sure that Orton's days as champ are numbered. Jeff makes his statement to the raucous crowd. He is excited about his chance to become the next WWE champion at the Royal Rumble which is less than two weeks away. Jeff promises to take Orton out tonight. He calls him out and says Orton can either come out NOW, or he'll come backstage and find him. To my surprise Orton comes out to say his piece on it. "You want me that bad, you got it, but...." Orton states his condition. His proposition is this, at the Royal Rumble the WWE title will be on the line, but tonight, the Intercontinental title will be on the line. Randy wants to be the third person to hold both the WWE championship and the Intercontinental title, so the war is on. (The other two men are the Ultimate Warrior and Triple H.) Jeff says, "done!" He's not afraid of the champ and he welcomes the opportunity to take Randy Orton out of the picture tonight. This is going to be brutal!
Ashley makes her beautiful way to the ring for a six diva tag team match up. Her tag team partners will be Maria and Mickie James. They take on the team of Melina, Jillian and Beth Phoenix. Can the Glamazon be stopped or will she continue to retain her title indefinitely? Ashley and Jillian start this match off and it's not pretty for Jillian. Melina gets the tag and she goes to work on Ashley. Ashley tags her partner Maria and she goes to work on Melina. Melina tags Beth Phoenix and Maria could be in trouble here. Maria manages to kick out of a three count and tags her partner Mickie James. In her bright yellow outfit which looks really good on her by the way, she is taking it to her diva opponents. Eventually all the girls get in the ring and quickly clear it out for Beth and Mickie to continue. Mickie gets caught up in the top rope under her chin and Beth capitalizes and gets the three count winning it for her team. I'm sure this isn't the last we'll see of diva competition in the coming weeks!
William Regal and Mr. McMahon are in the back talking about Regal's match with Ric Flair tonight. Snitsky interrupts the two men and he demands his chance to make an impact. Vince makes a match tonight between Snitsky and Triple H tonight, so Snitsky can make his much desired "impact". This should go over well.
A Royal Rumble qualifying match. Shawn Michaels comes out very unhappy that he has to qualify for a Rumble match. He may not have won last year but he came in second to the Undertaker. That was a great match and both men put their hearts into it no doubt. Shawn is interrupted by Trevor Murdock who makes his way to the ring for his qualifying match against HBK. Shawn did mention that he wanted to take on Mr. Kennedy tonight in the qualifying match, I don't think he really wanted to take on the redneck of the WWE. Murdock isn't about wrestling tonight, he's more into beating Shawn to death. He's brutally attacking the showstopper, but Michaels retaliates quickly. HBK fights back and he's showing some authority in the squared circle. A nice inverted atomic drop by Michaels gets him an advantage. HBK tunes up the band and Murdock narrowly escapes sweet chin music. Shawn then quickly gets him into a figure four leg lock and Murdock taps likes a little girl. HBK is now officially qualified for the Rumble. Mr. Kennedy comes onto the Titan Tron to say that Shawn has a huge ego, and that Shawn can't handle the fact that he was defeated by Mr. Kennedy. Kennedy doesn't feel he has anything left to prove to anyone, but he accepts Shawn's challenge to face him next week on Raw, but this is Shawn's last chance at the present and future of sports entertainment! Murdock gets up and tries to sneak up behind Michaels, but Shawn gets the sweet chin music on him, obviously not that distracted by Mr. Kennedy's speech.
Mr. McMahon is backstage with his son Hornswaggle. He says he's very proud of him. It'll be Hornswaggle's first Royal Rumble match. Mr. McMahon wants to give Hornswaggle some practice at how to rumble tonight, so he's going to invite some of the superstars to fight Hornswaggle tonight in a Royal Rumble practice match. Poor little Hornswaggle. He always looks so upset when Vince talks to him. Out of nowhere Vince grabs Hornswaggle by the throat and tells him "You last name is McMahon and anything can happen, don't you forget it!" I hope Hornswaggle beats every last man in that ring tonight!
Triple H makes his way to the ring for his match against Snitsky. (Have I mentioned how much I love Triple H?) It's like polar opposites in the ring, extreme hotness and extreme ugly. These two men kick this match off and Triple H is throwing fists right off the bat. It didn't seem to bother Snitsky at all and he takes Triple H to the corner and the beating begins. The Game doesn't stand for that long and he begins a brutal exchange. I love the commentary between JR and King about how ugly Snitsky is and how his teeth as so yellow they stop traffic. Dang! Snitsky gets a big boot to the face of the Cerebral Assassin. Snitsky begins the barrage of kicks and hits on Triple H who is once again caught in the corner. Snitsky follows this with a few head thrusts to Triple H's abs. Snitsky goes for a cover but the Game kicks out of it. Snitsky is manhandling Triple H at this point in the match and I'm getting quite irritated. I hate it when Triple H gets beat on. Snitsky catches Triple H in midair as Triple H tries to get a running start on Snitsky, and Snitsky applies a huge bear hold on the Game. Triple H is down to one knee and Snitsky is still holding that bear hold. Triple H powers out of the hold finally only to be set up for a pump handle slam. Triple H counters that and gets a huge DDT on the king of ugly. A face buster from the Game and then the set up for a pedigree gets Triple H tossed out of the ring right in front of the announcers table. Snitsky picks up Triple H and tosses him into the steel steps like he weighed zero. Snitsky picks up the second set of steel steps, but Triple H gets up and grabs a chair and slams it into Snitsky causing the match to be called on account of disqualification. Triple H gets the sledgehammer and he gives it to Snitsky right in the abdomen. A huge pedigree follows that maneuver like punctuation at the end of a very strong sentence. Don't mess with the best unless you want to go down hard and fast. Good job Triple H!
Triple H is interrupted by Vince as he leaves the ring. Vince is on the Titan Tron telling Triple H to calm down or else. He's become too violent since he lost his spot at the Royal Rumble. Triple H takes the sledge and destroys the Titan Tron and leaves it in a smoking sparking heap. I guess Vince has his answer to that suggestion! Vince meets Triple H backstage to continue to insult. In order to calm down Triple H, Vince gives him back his spot in the Royal Rumble as long as he wins his match next week. What this match is, is left unsaid but I'm sure it's not going to be a fair one if Mr. McMahon has anything to do with it.
JBL comes out in his Moo Mobile for yet another night on Raw. Didn't he learn his lesson a couple of weeks ago when Jericho kicked the crap out of him on Raw? I guess not! The ring is filled with red and black balloons it looks like a gothic birthday party gone wrong! He stands in the ring and makes a statement about what he really thinks of Chris Jericho. After the brutal attack on Jericho last week by JBL, JBL's ego is even bigger than it was before. (If that is even possible)! JBL tells Jericho's kids that he's so much better than Jericho and that Jericho is a coward! (I didn't know Jericho had kids!) Man JBL is laying it on thick and I swear I hate him more now than I did before tonight. What a jerk! I hope Jericho comes back and wipes the floor with that self proclaimed tycoon! Jericho is at home tonight suffering a bruised larynx due to the brutal attack on him last week on Raw at the hands of this man JBL.
Hornswaggle comes out for his mini Royal Rumble practice match. His first opponent will be Mr. Kennedy. Wow, it's a little Mr. Kennedy. It's the half pint Kennedy. He can't even reach the microphone because he's so little. LOL! This is hilarious. It's midget wrestling at it's best. Mini Kennedy is really taking it to Hornswaggle. The next man in the ring is a little tiny Mankind. Kennedy takes it to Mankind. I can't even type I'm laughing so hard. Mankind brings out a little socko and tries to get Hornswaggle with it, but Hornswaggle stops it. Hornswaggle tosses the Mr. Kennedy mini over the top rope. Out comes a mini Batista who immediately spears Hornswaggle. Hornswaggle fights back and isn't out of the count just yet. A little mini Kane comes out and boy he looks angry. Kane goes to work on Batista and Hornswaggle. A tiny Batista bomb on Kane gets Kane on the mat. Hornswaggle tosses out Batista and Kane sits up looking ready to brawl. Kane sets up for the choke slam but can't seem to lift Hornswaggle. Hornswaggle tosses out Kane. The Batista mini takes Hornswaggle down and out comes the real Great Khali. In all his huge splendor. Out comes Finlay to defend the little McMahon and he's all over Khali like a bad habit. He gets back into the ring and takes out Khali's handler too. Khali is left backing out of the arena in shock as his handler is tossed out after him. Hornswaggle gets into the ring and celebrates with his defender.
Finlay gets a hold of Mr. McMahon backstage and he threatens him. Apparently him and Vince have some sort of "deal" concerning Hornswaggle. Vince tells Finlay to go take care of his business with Khali on Smackdown, and that he had nothing to do with Khali coming out tonight to go after Hornswaggle. Interesting, very interesting!
Ric Flair makes his way to the ring for yet another career ending match against none other than the Raw general manager William Regal. It's a war of the robes here tonight folks and I think that Ric Flair has it won hands down in that department. (I can't believe that there is still smoke in the ring from JBL's exit fireworks, dang that man needs to learn moderation). Will the Nature Boy be able to capitalize again this week to retain his glorious career? Regal is dominating this match from the get go. Regal is going for the obviously injured knee of Flair (it's taped). Flair fights back and gets out of the ring to wrap Regal's leg right around that ring post. These two men battle back and forth and Flair gets the figure 4 leg lock on Regal. Regal gets to the ropes. Regal gets Flair in a roll up but the ref sees that Regal has a handful of tights. So while the ref is talking to Regal, Flair rolls Regal up and gets a handful of tights himself. This time the ref doesn't catch it and Flair wins it, retaining his career! Never underestimate the dirtiest player in the game, he just might surprise you!
Randy Orton comes out for his match against Jeff Hardy for the Intercontinental Championship. He seems to think he stands a chance in hell, well he is sadly mistaken. Jeff is going to bring hell to the champ and make him wish he'd never laid hands on the elder Hardy brother Matt. Jeff doesn't waste anytime running into the ring, and Orton delivers a deliberate low blow to Jeff Hardy. The match is called for a DQ and Orton has something else planned. He tosses Jeff out of the ring and begins to pull up the black mat outside of the ring. Exposed concrete is seen. Orton gets Hardy up off the ground and Hardy fights back just in time. It's a street fight on the ramp tonight. Jeff goes face first into the metal structure at the top of the ramp. Orton continues to brutalize Jeff. Orton runs back and runs at Jeff but Jeff back drops him right off the stage onto his back on the concrete floor. Orton appears to be out cold. Hardy isn't done just yet, he climbs some scaffolding that is close by and he's going way up top this time. Refs try to talk him down, but Jeff aint having none of that. He goes even higher on the scaffold to the second beam from the top. He does a huge swanton bomb off of it and takes himself out as well but Randy Orton isn't going to be fighting anytime soon. EMT's are on the scene and trying to get both men out of the arena. Randy is breathing and has a slight pulse. No word on Jeff just yet. As Jeff is being wheeled out of the arena on a stretcher his puts his arm up to show his fans that he's still ok. I love my rainbow haired warrior, but I about stopped breathing when he took that leap off that scaffold. I love to be entertained, but it always scares me when he goes to the extreme like that. You have to wonder is that the maneuver that will end Jeff Hardy's career? I'll keep you updated on both men's status as I get word.
Tune in next week same Raw time same Raw channel for the new improved Raw in HD! I'm sure it's going to be one explosive episode!

Raw Roulette (talk about a twist of fate)
For the first time in five years Raw takes their matches to a fun extreme. A giant roulette wheel will be the deciding factor in all of tonight's matches. This could definitely make or break some superstars tonight!
William Regal and Mr. McMahon start off tonight's Raw, the first of 2008. The are talking in the back about the roulette. Vince is very proud! The first match made was a first blood match between Triple H and William Regal. Triple H catches Regal backstage and begins the festivities early!
Shawn Michaels comes out to the ring facing off against Mr. Kennedy. Of course Mr. Kennedy starts to make an announcement, but Mr. McMahon spins the roulette wheel to decide the match. It's a strange bedfellows match? In other words tag teams that you would never think to put together. Shawn Michaels and Mr. Kennedy will be partnering up tonight against Charlie Haas and Trevor Murdock. This is definitely an interesting match. Mr. Kennedy and Charlie Haas start things off, but Shawn Michaels doesn't waste any time to knock Mr. Kennedy out of the ring and go after Charlie Haas. Suddenly Charlie Haas comes back into the ring with a Luchador mask on. What the heck? Odd. Shawn Michaels and Trevor Murdock are in the ring and Michaels gets a huge boot to the face. Charlie Haas gets his tag in and starts taking it to Michaels. Michaels goes for the tag, but Mr. Kennedy gets out of the way of the tag, refusing to let Shawn tag him in. There is no love between any of these men tonight. Shawn Michaels goes up top and lands on Haas, and delivers some sweet chin music to Trevor Murdock. Mr. Kennedy goes for a shot at Michaels, he tags himself in and gets the three count over Charlie Haas after taking out Michaels. Well at least Michaels and Kennedy won, but it has to be the oddest circumstances I've ever seen in a match up. You never know what you are going to get if you play roulette!
A trading places match is a match in which the opponents must dress like each other. Carlito comes out dressed like Hardcore Holly. Ha Ha. Hardcore Holly comes out dressed like Carlito. This is the funniest thing I've seen all week! Hardcore Holly does a really good Carlito by the way! Big hair and all. This match kicks off and Hardcore loses his afro. Carlito gives some really nice exchanges to Holly and appears to be doing pretty good in the early part of this match up. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before Holly turns it around and starts to fight back. Holly spits apple in the face of Carlito after catching it from Cody Rhodes. Hardcore Holly wins it with a big Alabama Slam and the hair goes right back on after the match is over. Not the best hairdo I've seen on Raw that's for sure!
Mr. McMahon is backstage with Maria who will spin the wheel to see what match the divas are going to be in tonight. It lands on submission match, but Mr. McMahon has Maria close her eyes and he changes the wheel to say lingerie pillow fight instead. Mr. McMahon tells Maria that the divas are not allowed to put any foreign objects in the pillows for an advantage. Maria says not to worry about it, her pillows are all natural. Yes they are Maria, yes they are!
Todd Grisham is interviewing Jeff Hardy talking about what happened to Matt last week on Raw. Hardy means business you don't mess with Jeff's brother he's going to make sure that he takes Orton out at the Royal Rumble. It's was announced that it's going to be a steel cage match tonight for Jeff Hardy and his opponent Umaga. I hope Jeff can get his head in the game and bring it all to the table.
The divas make their way to the ring for the lingerie pillow fight. The first diva to score a pin fall or submission will be the winner. The match is between Melina, Jillian, Maria, Mickie James and Ashley (welcome back!) The match gets under way an it's really fun and cute looking. I wish I could play! JR and King quote the term "spankervision". I think that's pretty accurate. Melina and Jillian are sure beating Ashley like a government mule. Maria and Mickie toss Melina and she rolls out of the ring. Ashley goes up top and lands a huge elbow into Jillian winning the match! Even after the bell is rung, the pillow fight continues. I want to be a diva!
Hornswaggle is given the task to find a tag team partner in order to secure his spot in the royal rumble if he and his partner win tonight. Will he be able to find the right person in time?
The first blood match between William Regal and Triple H is up. Regal is first in the ring and he's pacing like a caged animal. He's wearing a really beautiful robe though navy blue with gold piping. It's nice. Triple H comes to the ring looking ready to kick butt and take names. All business and never once faltering about the stipulations of this match up. The crowd is on their feet for Triple H they are ready to see some blood that's for sure. This match kicks off with punches and jabs, it's going to be brutal. Regal gets the brass knuckles on his hand but he doesn't get the chance to use them just yet. Triple H is taking it to Regal like nobodies business. The Game tosses the steel steps at Regal, who narrowly gets out of the way. Triple H gets a face full of the other steel steps by Regal. There is no DQ in this match and no count outs, you can only win by drawing the blood of your opponent. William Regal gets Triple H down for a moment and he goes over to expose the top turnbuckle. Regal gets the Game's head right into that turnbuckle, but he's not bleeding just yet. Regal goes for a second time at the turnbuckle and Triple H turns it around on him and gets Regal's face into the turnbuckle twice. These two men are wearing each other out physically and mentally at this point. The crowd screams that "they want blood!" William gets out of the ring and goes right back over to pick up those brass knuckles again. The are in place and Triple H is on his feet. A huge spine buster brings Regal to the mat and once again he doesn't get the chance to use those knuckles. Triple H beats Regal in the head until finally blood is drawn and Triple H wins it. Regal wearing that crimson mask is not quite finished yet. Triple H gets Regal in the pedigree and lands a huge one on him I'm sure as payback for last week on Raw when Regal interfered in the match between Triple H and Ric Flair.
Chris Jericho comes out for his match tonight. It is going to be a handicap match. His opponents will be Snitsky and his partner JBL. This is so not fair. Poor Jericho. (Have you ever noticed how similar JBL's intro music is to the "beef it's what's for dinner" commercial? Just an observation.) Snitsky and Jericho start things off. It's not looking very good for Jericho. Jericho gets Snitsky out of the ring, but JBL runs in and gets his hits in on Jericho who immediately takes him outside and starts beating the NY City millionaire for all he's worth. JBL quickly turns the tables on Jericho and is using brutal force. Choking Jericho with the camera cables, throwing him into the steel steps. The ref calls for the bell but it doesn't happen. JBL drags Jericho who has the television cables still around his neck, around the ring like a dog. He drags him up the ramp and Jericho can't breathe. Then JBL starts the barrage of fists and tossing Jericho into the steel retaining wall. Kicks from the tycoon come next and Jericho is still wrapped up in the cords. JBL is climbing up a scaffold and he's putting the cables through the scaffold in an attempt to "hang" Jericho. Some officials try to stop him and JBL starts to manhandle the officials. Jericho is still caught in the cables and looking very discolored. JBL exits the arena and leaves the officials to take care of the breathless Jericho.
The highlanders are going to be in a match tonight. It's a royal rumble qualifying match. Their opponents are Hornswaggle and BK Jordan? (who?) Mick Foley comes out and is giving high fives to Hornswaggle and his partner. Mick dismisses BK Jordan and steps in as Hornswaggle's partner in this match up. Mick starts things off with Robbie McAllister. Rory McAllister gets the tag in as does Hornswaggle and starts really taking it to Hornswaggle, but Mick comes to the rescue and doesn't let the little McMahon get too hurt. The Highlanders make a nice double team on Mick Foley, again and again. It's suddenly not looking very good for Mick. He does manage to turn it around though and clear the ring. Out comes Mr. Socko and Rory gets a mouthful of it. Foley lands a nice take down on Rory getting him flat on the mat. Hornswaggle gets the tag, goes off the top rope and lands right on Rory. He get the three count and wins the match for his team. Mick Foley and Hornswaggle are going to the Royal Rumble! Sweet!
The menacing steel cage greets Jeff Hardy as he makes his way to the ring for his match against the Samoan bulldozer Umaga. Randy Orton's music comes on and out comes the champ. This is one hell of a bold move by Orton. I'm sure he thinks that his presence will distract Jeff, I don't think it will. Umaga and Jeff start this thing off and Umaga is taking it to Jeff, who doesn't stay down long. A huge foot to the face finds Jeff Hardy and he's on his back in the ring. The crowd is behind Hardy in this match that's for sure. Orton is over at the side of the cage "looking" on. Jeff almost escapes the cage but Umaga pulls him down off the top of it. Ouch! Umaga is totally devastating Jeff at this point. As much as I love Jeff as a wrestler, I'm not sure he can battle through this one. Jeff is trying to get to his feet, it's a slow process but he's making it. Jeff breaks the hold and he gets one good kick on Umaga before being tossed against that steel like a rag doll. Umaga bounces Jeff's head off the steel cage then runs full force and body slams himself right into Jeff. Umaga goes for a three count. Jeff gets his foot on the rope. Orton starts tossing steel chairs into the ring to "help" Umaga secure the win. Umaga hits Hardy with a steel chair right in the spine. He's out! No, wait, Jeff kicks out of the three count. Orton is getting riled now. Umaga tries to escape the cage but gets knocked down onto the ropes by Jeff (nice crotch shot) and is body slammed by Hardy as well. Jeff has gotten a second wind but it's knocked right out of him as Umaga gets that thumb of death right into Hardy's throat. Hardy is in the corner and Umaga sets up for a full run. Hardy gets up and is on his feet quicker than anyone can even tell. He brutalizes Umaga with the steel chair then gets a nice DDT on Umaga. Umaga kicks out however. Darn! Jeff goes for the door but gets it slammed on his head by Orton. Since there is no DQ there is nothing that the refs can do about it. Umaga goes for another three count, but Hardy kicks out. Umaga sets up the Samoan spike, but Jeff reverses it and gets a twist of fate of out it. Jeff goes up top and Orton is on the other side waiting for him. Hardy jumps back into the ring right on top of Umaga and gets the three count. Jeff Hardy wins it right in front of the champ! Damn, Hardy is going to be the next champion at this rate, he's smoking hot lately in more ways than one. Orton and Hardy eye each other and you can tell that Orton wants to get his hands on the rainbow haired warrior. What a great way to end the Raw Roulette!
